Ok. I have been quiet, but not without reason, I assure you. If you are the kind that is so sympathetic, you are reading the right blog! Am desperately in need of people to feel so sorry for me. I have exams the next two weeks. Thanks for that 'understanding sigh.'
If you should know, yours truly is currently in Italy, Rome. Once am done with the exams, it will be Zambia here I come. More than ever before, I am convinced that being away from one's country makes one's heart grow fonder! I just love Zambia. And I never use the word lightly. I mean, there is just something about zed that you cannot experience anywhere else. Home, I guess, is where your heart is and I have no doubt where mine heart is! So I will be in Zambia in the next two weeks. Of course you know That I will be roasting maize and eating musozya. I do not mean to brag but, hey, truth is truth. After two or three months in Zed, I will, sadly, have to travel to Washington to face more books, assignments and exams. Yaa, more of the same.
Sometimes am tempted to do what some boy did recently. You see, after the Christmas break, the said boy was not ready for school and so came up with this brilliant plan. He glued his arm to the bed so he couldn't get out of bed. Folowing morning, the police and medical people were busy trying to 'unglue' him while he so serenely continued enjoying this computer games. How so childish, but there are times when it is this very quality in children that I have had to admire. I mean those times when I have felt like screaming, dancing and just 'being me' without feeling guilty!' Aah, being a grown up feels so childish! Why can't we just be? Ever felt like dancing naked before that mirror? Ever felt like screaming after acting kind and so grown up? Now you know what am talking about.
Tomorrow Zambia take on Cameroun and we just have to wish them well!! But before I go, this has to be said; I wish we didn't have to write any exams! To all those who have to undrgo the torment of exams, know you are not alone! We suffer together but let me be the first to meet the lunatic who first thought of the phenomenon called examinations!
Now I have to go to bed. I wish you and yours well. A prayer for me as I make some huge transition will be appreciated.(ok, am assuming you have some faith). As the Italians would say here, and have said to their Prime Minister Prodi, 'grazie e arrivederci!'
